I hope this is the right thread! Does somebody have infos about a possible third season of Gokusen? (drama). I read something like this few months ago on some forum. But it's nothing official, so it might as well just be a rumor! Any idea if they plan to do it? :

watch odagiri ryu's transformation... i like his character the most. favorite epis would be from epi8 to the last one.

I prefered the first season. somehow I felt that the first was better but kame's performance in the second was great so that's my like factor for the second one.

Hi!! I'm new at this thread.
I was reading the gokusen page from wikipedia and I read this: "There is also a special episode titled Gokusen Special: Sayonara 3-nen D-gumi (Goodbye Class 3-D), it's a sequel to the first season and the prequel to the second season"
Also said that the cast of the special episode were Matsumoto Jun, Nakama Yukie and Morimoto Ryoji

Is that true??? Have anybody this??

i am watchin this drama right now.... i think the guys in 3-D are not hard to deal with...i mean, in the previous Gokusen, Yankumi used up lots of time to gain trust from them...but then, this one here, seems like the fella get along with her so easily....
and Jin was so cool at 1st n then (i am at episode 4 now), he bcame like so goofy...

This show has a really good cast but this show is just too corny to be taken seriously :S. Almost every ep feels like they're tormenting me, that's how corny/sucky they can be :/. The actors are the only thing that keeps me watching this show.

I really liked both seasons. It is worth seeing despite the "after school special" feel that it always has near the end of each episode. Everyone into JDrama should check it out at least.

i watched gokusen 2 first because of Kame but ended with fall for JIN.. and because of my curiosity, i watched the first season. and i found that the first season is more interesting than the second one..
in the second, yankumi is too powerfull. she always solve her students problems. she often appear in her students fights.. and yeah..she's pretty easy to get along with her students. but maybe she's already has experience from Shirokin so she know how to handle it.
i love when Sawada said to Tetsu, Shinohara and Kashiwagi that he falls for Yankumi and it would make 4 of them compete for her love.
but why Shinohara doesn't appear in the second series? it's 3 years after Shirokin anyway, Yankumi could be already married to Shinohara or Sawada..

sorry..but i like when Yankumi's with Sawada.. Sawada looks more mature than Yankumi..

Hm I'm still at gokusen 1.. thought that i should see that before i start on gokusen 2 =P
hope when I start on Gokusen 2, I wun find it disappointing~ as in at least it will be as good as the first!
Btw, any1 noes of fansites/links/forum discussion of Gokusen stuff? I've been browsing around abit for Gokusen stuff but surprisingly theres nothing much out there..

I'm just going to comment a bit.

Season 1 was quite entertaining. But season 2, well... too many things are similar to season 1. Even the characters, partly, seem to be copied from season 1, just like the plots. Nothing new coming in there.

Well, I just Started Gokusen Season 1 Yesterday and Finished Yesterday. Lol. My Brother was like, "Oh My Gawd! Calm Down!" I was Kind've upset that It ended so Quickly =[
I just found out that there was Two Seasons, and So I quickly went to watch Season 2, Episode 1.. I then Found out that Matsumoto Jun wasn't in Season Two any Longer.. So I got dissapointed. I don't think I wanna watch Gokusen Season 2 D;
I wanted to See him in there.. I really Enjoyed watching Gokusen Season 1 though. That Concludes my Thoughts on Gokusen =]

both seasons to me were great, i cant complain i didnt care if it was similar gosh just getting stare at juna and jin and kame was good enough for me, but did really miss jun in season 2, haha yah it can be disappointing when u find out jun isnt in the second season after that killer line at the end of season one which i replayed about 20 times

i really wish dramas didnt take sooo much space 4.25GB for 10 episodes but thats okay

by the way there is not going to be a third season?

I thought I'd miss season 1 when I started season 2, because of the different characters. But after watching the first ep of season 2 it was long forgotten.

Honestly, I love the 2nd season alot more. That's mostly because of Hayato and Ryu. I prefer the characters this season, too.

1. If you didn't like the feel of the first season, why did you bother with the second?

i like season one better than season two. Season two was like a copy from season one so it pretty much boring to me. After watching season two, it boring cuz all they do is that kids getting into trouble and the teacher save their butt. that it!

^--that would be the most valid criticism.

Comparing S1 to S2, ignoring the fact that they're essentially two versions of the same thing with a few different actors, S1 has slightly better writing and S2 has slightly better camerawork and choreography.

Oh...wow. One, without Yukie Nakama, it'll suck. With Yukie Nakama, it won't be much better unless Shin comes back. The same things happened. Student gets in trouble. Whole class goes after them to help. Yukie rips hair out of pigtails to fight. "I am....their HOME ROOM TEACHER!" They fight. Someone gets hurt. They have heartfealt talk. Rinse and repeat.

I hope for a comeback for all of the original cast of gokusen 1 and 2. A combination of all of them. Instead of it being high school, it would take place in College Or something like that.

if there is going to be a gokusen 3 they should take out yukie nakama because shes soo annoying. she reminds me of this girl i knew. yukie nakama looks exactly like her and acts like her its so annoying. it would be much better if they replace her and change it up a bit. gokusen 1& 2 is so repetitive. its so predictable. the class gets in trouble and the teacher comes out of no where. takes off her eyeglasses and beats all of the bad guys up by herself. whats the chances of that??

Though I don't think they'll achieve the Gokusen 2 greatness (Akanishi Jin as Yabuki Hayato = probably the most stylish and coolest high-school student ever).

If they're going to achieve success with Gokusen 3, the writers really need to think of new plot lines/story instead of heavily recycling material from the original just like they did with G2.
Plus they need to get popular actors to reprise roles as students, though i cant see any casts that can beat the coolness of the G2 group (Akanishi+Kame)

this is my first time posting but i have been lurking for a while and finally gave in and registered. I happen to love dramas. i cant believe how addicted i have become. but regardless, gokusen is one of my favorite dramas. While i was contemplating the idea of a 3 one, i had a great idea. How cool would it be if the made a new gokusen and mixed it into a new my boss my hero. sakaki-kun is a student in yamkumi?? class! lol wouldnt that be amazing. and the gangs that each are a part of are actually like rival gangs or something....just a thought. lol

I'm pretty upset with season 2 >_<!! I haven't even continued watching it.... Season 1 was awesome, I was so psyched to see season 2... but wtf, what happened to everyone!? All the characters I just spent time getting to know are gone!! The way they ended the season with the 4 guys saying they'd be rivals for Yankumi...kind of is pointless if those characters don't exist anymore! So season 2... to me.. just seems stupid...like a lame remake of season 1or something....I wanted a continuation from season 1, which they eluded to.. ;___; I'm very sad...

Yeah, the story line is getting sort of boring. But i do hope that the rumors are true. And if there's not a 3rd season, they should really make a special. I want to see Matsujun as one of Yankumi's students again.

This is completely random and kinda off topic, but I had to get it outta my system.

I was watching ranma 1/2 re-runs last night, on cartoon network latinamerica, and there was this scene with some ninjas caring off an unconscious kuno tatewaki into the sunset, they yelled: fight-o fight-o, and sasuke said "that's from another show"....

Now, I'm wondering, that's probably a joke the dubbing in spanish inserted in reference to gokusen, but then again, by the time the ranma 1/2 anime was made it was way before the gokusen manga even appeared....

Or, is there another famous manga/anime where people say fight-o?...I've been under the impression it was only a gokusen thing...
