Help. I saw this jpop music video, anyone know who this is?

I dont know how old or new the song is, i saw it 3x on tv but cable tv, the bridge.

It's a japanese teen female singer playing a piano throughout.

she's young, short hair, rather fast paced song.. catchy, not dark but upbeat and positive sounding (i don't understand Japanese)...

during the video, there's pictures of clouds in the background.

I tried viewing jpop video stills on youtube but that was unfruitful and timeconsuming...

any ideas? thanks.

Hmm...the only piano playing teenaged Japanese singer I can think of is Younha (who is actually Korean)
Physical description matches too....

YES! thank you thank you! I've been trying to pin point it for about 3 months now... You are great. I did a search on Houkiboshi and found a link to a song sample. That's it. It's real nice song. I'm a bit embarrased I thought the singer was Japanese. I mean, the song is in Japanese, isn't it? You are good. I wasn't sure if my post would get an answer, but not only that, I got in in minutes. This looks like a great forum too...

Younha is a cross-over artist like BoA (only her Japanese is better :p ), so yes, she sings in Japanese. To my knowledge, she only has one song in Korean.

Indeed, and wasn't her Korean song featured in the J-drama Tokyo Wankei?

Also, I think she's only debuted in Japan and not in South Korea...

Never saw Tokyo Wankei, so I don't know. Sonim was in that and they didn't use any of her singing talent? What a shame!

But yeah, Younha never debuted in S. Korea (although I think she did audition for something a la American Idol and lost D: ... meh... their loss... :p )

She's been building slowly in popularity..
Besides Houkiboshi, she covered the classic theme song to Touch for the movie release, and Yubikiri, which had an anime tie-in (Bleach?)
