Watching it now, and it is absolutely priceless!
I'm really impressed with how well all the characters translate to live action.
Completely captures the spirit of Chibi Maruko-chan... ^_^

Doesn't hurt that some of my favorite comedic actors/actresses are in it either... :p

Anyway, I think you're talking about Yamamoto Linda's 'Neraiuchi.' I don't remember if that song came up in the drama SP, but it comes up from time to time in the anime.

Actually, he song was also featured in this one Nintendo DS title called "Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!" Its a music rhythm based game. I've stumbled upon it several times before I heard it on Chibi Maruko.

i used to watch the anime when i was young
it was saoo funny

i often watched the anime version of this when i was still a kid.. hehe.
and happy to know that there is already a live drama of this...
and the character is very similar with the ones in the anime... hehe..
and the stories,are very heart-warming too... hehe..
