探偵学園Ｑ　(Tantei Gakuen Q ) is about detective story and the person who wrote
this manga is same person as author of 金田一少年の事件簿(Kindaichi Shounen No Jikenbo) If the viewership is high, there is high chance that it could be TV series from October.

The Detective Conan one looks interesting. I was never too big a fan of Oguri Shun, but I hope he does a good job.

I've heard about the Nodame Cantabile drama awhile ago and that Ueno Juri was casted as Nodame, but I've just thought that was a rumour. But now it's REAL~!!! *gets hyper* *clears throat* Anyways, I'm really looking forward to the next drama season~~~... ^___^

This caught my attention over on Japan Zone after I recognized that someone has been VSSing "Odoru daisosasen":

The latest spin-off from Fuji TV's "Odoru Daisosasen" series sees Yashima Norito (35) land his first drama leading role. Known in English as "Bayside Shakedown", the series first aired on Fuji in 1997 and was a big hit.... The latest spin-off is a TV series called "The Lawyer: Haijima Hideki", which will air from October 28. Yashima has become popular in the last couple of years mainly through the Fuji variety shows "Trivia no Izumi" and "Miracle Type".

I don't see it on the list and wondered if it should be added. Sorry, I haven't been able to search for further information/website/etc. I'd be interested in seeing it.

I think "14 sai no Haha" could be the sleeper critically acclaimed hit of the season, kind of like how 1 Litre of Tears was last year. The story is rather serious, teenage pregnancy, and it's rarely mentioned in the media, let alone Japanese media, where I assume it's rarer (and probably more looked-down-upon) than it is in the US.

Shida Mirai (who was in Joou no Kyoshitsu and is in Sapuri this season) stars. She happens to be just around the same age as her character (13), so I think that will lend to the "realism" of the series.

There's a website that lets you type someone's name in it. When you type their name in and hit "enter" they'll die a horrible death and be sent to hell. Thus, the person gets rid of whoever caused them wrong, but, in return for doing this, the person is sent to hell when they die.

Jigouku Shoujo/emma Ai is the girl who sends the people to hell, she lives in a cabin with her grandmother and three demons. It's a pretty episodic series, but really good.

That's mostly right. You can only access the site at midnight. If you type in the name of someone you want revenge on, Enma Ai appears and gives you a black straw doll with a red string around it. If you untie the string, Ai will take the person whose name you typed directly to hell. However, you are now in her debt, and when you die, she'll take you to hell also. So it's not an automatic thing - you have to make a choice after you've been fully informed of the facts.

The straw doll is actually a demon named Wanyuudou. Ai also has two hench-demons named Ichimoku Ren and Onna Hone. And there's also a mysterious old woman that Ai calls "grandmother," but you never see her, along with a creepy demonic spider that keeps watch over things.

And lastly, there's Shibata Hajime, a journalist and single father, and his daughter Tsugumi, who has some kind of psychic connection to Ai. Hajime is on a quest to find out who Ai is and why Tsugumi is connected to her, and along the way he tries - mostly unsuccessfully - to convince people not to send others to hell.

The anime was 26 episodes, and yes it did get repetitious at times, but I believe the drama is only 12 episodes, so it should move along better. There's also a second season of the anime starting in a couple of weeks, if anyone's interested.

Anyhoo, does anybody know if there's any group subbing this drama: Kiraware Matsuko No Ishou? The one with Rina Uchiyama and Emi Suzuki. I'd really like to know, thanks. nice..couple of new series with Toda Erika,Matsu Takako,Fujiwara Norika,Horikita Maki..should be an interesting season..Now where is the new ito misaki series..I thought there was supposed to be one..It think it was Maison Ikoku, not too sure..well gotta check on that..not sure if it is this season or next season

Yeah, I think this'll be a good season. But hey, don't forget Masami Nagasawa has a new drama this season too.

anyone know bout the upcoming jdrama title: Prince of tennis? i dunno the japanese name..it is japanese anime adaptation with the same title, when will it release? i already saw the trailer and... man it's really like putting shaolin soccer effects on tennis ball

its a movie, not a drama...sorry. (Drama would have been cool.) FantasticSuperorg has it already, maybe they will have subs soon too.

I think you mean the movie...havent heard of a drama adaption.

I was wondering if anyone had plans to upload the TV Asahi drama "Kazoku--tsuma fuzai otto no sonzai.

Most of the main characters are older and perhaps on the margins of the demographics of the J-dorama fan base here,
but I was hoping...
