I would have picked Windstruck if it was on the list. However, since it is not on the listed I pick My Sassy Girl. I don't know why but for some reason I thought the ending was kind of sad maybe because it ended too soon. I wanted to see more like what going to happen next such as will they get marry?

My top 10, no particular order:

- My Sassy Girl (how original, but hey - great movie - deserves the top spot)
- A Hot Roof (first K-movie i ever saw & still one of the best, wish there was a dvd, i wish i wish)
- Someone Special (this one deserves to be more popular)
- JSA
- Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
- Old Boy
- Save the Green Planet
- Art Museum by the Zoo
- Once Upon a Time in High School
- 3-Iron

I also liked: Il Mare, My Little Bride, Windstruck, Don't Believe Her & My Tutor Friend. so i should at least mention them.

I'm currently waiting for my order of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Welcome to Dongmakgol and The Big Scene. I hope one (or all of them) are as good as the ones above and maybe make me revise that list...

Lemme see. The only Korean movies I ever watch were My Sassy Girl, Tae Guk Gi and Volcano High. I really love My Sassy Girl and Tae Guk Gi. It's hard to choose which one is the best so I'll go with MSG since that's the only movie I can vote here.

I actually have never heard of A Hot Roof. Synopsis? Genre?

Also, I've seen Lady Vengeance, Dongmakgol, and The Big Scene. The first two, I'm fairly confident you'll enjoy them a lot, or at least pat yourself on the back for buying the DVDs.

As for The Big Scene, it seems like a hit or miss to me. I personally didn't like it, partly due to a bad subbing issue and certain nuances within the film itself that I don't think I fully understood. Some people will like it a lot, and some won't. It's a film that warrants two viewings, in order to grasp the subtleties, as well as understand parts of the plot after the fact.

Voted for My Sassy Girl (Yupki Girl)... hands down my favorite KMovie so far... funny, witty, and a hella pretty actress to boot (I always see her face plastered on cosmetics ads, and most of the time at Chinese stores and at the 99 Ranch Market! :P )!!

Gives a general idea about the plot without spoiling too much. This movie made me aware of Korean cinema, I think the next one i saw after that was 301,302 that's great too by the way and also deserves at least an honorable mention, but the DVD is terrible...

I would have to say A Moment to Remember. Its a great movie a little long and slow but the ending is good. :)

i've ordered GUNS AND TALKS and waiting for the dvd to arrive. love wonbin! the only korean movies i've seen are MY LITTLE BRIDE and MARRYING THE MAFIA. i highly recommmend those 2, extremely funny. i find korean comedies hilarious compared to others. after reading the recommened movies, i'm thinking about watching HE WAS COOL, MY TUTOR FRIEND and 100 DAYS W/ MR. ARROGANT. i've already bought MY SASSY GIRL and WINDSTRUCK. can't wait to watch them!

Judging from the synopsis, it sounds like a really good movie. I don't know why, but it reminded me somewhat of a Mexican film called The Exterminating Angel. It was about a bunch of aristocrats inexplicably stuck in a room for a couple of days. It wasn't like the room was locked; they just couldn't leave, even though they wanted to.

I saw 301, 302 with my roommates. It was deeply twisted. I thought it was good, although disturbing.

My Sassy girl is so great (and I can't believe that the US film market wants to redo it- HOW can they find a better actress??!!??! They CAN'T! imho)

so, a few more movies I really like (in no order)

My Sassy Girl,
My wife is a gangster (1&2)
A Bittersweet Life
I Married the Mafia 2
ChunghYang

I can't think of any more, and the ones I can think of now, I think I like them more as a diversion

lol this one is old but...

Change :P it's funny
Lil Mare I thought was entertaining, I liked it a lot.
My Boss, My hero and its sequal (1st one is better though) My Boss my Student
Attack the Gas Station - also old

Windstruck, Lovers Concerto are good if you're into those type of movies

There's so many movies I've watched, and it just depends on what type you're into.
Overall, almost every movie I've watched is entertaining. :P

lifa wrote:I'm not sure if anyone put this but my favorite is 3-Iron. It's Bin-Jip in Korean. I loved it! It isn't anything like My Sassy Girl (which I've only seen part of) but I would give it a try. The two mains don't talk (even though they can).

It's the same director of the movie Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter...and Spring. I loved it as well.
OMG In my opinion Bin-Jip is one of the best movies ever made, I really loved it. It was also the first k-movie I ever watched. Kim Ki-Duk rulezz!!. I also watched spring, summer, fall, winter... and spring wich is also a great movie.
It looks like everybody started watching k-movies with my sassy girl. I thought it was very funny, but not that great. Old boy is also very cool, but the ending is a bit over the top I think.

my sassy girl was also my first kmovie (it seems as though it was many people's first kmovie), and probably one of my favorites. off this list i've only seen my sassy girl and il mare anyway, so my sassy girl was what i voted for. although il mare was pretty good too... i'm surprised my little bride wasn't on the list though. that was a good one too.

but overall, definitely my sassy girl is a great movie! :D the ending was so sweet.

Me myself is a Korean, and try this movie that has just came out. Its called Gwemul(괴물) and its about a monster territorizing the city Seoul. Its based on a family and about a daddy loosing his daughter. Really fantastic.

Came out in the movies at 2006 in July.

Remember in My sassy girl, the main female character JunJiHyun says that she broke up with her love? This movie is about how she broke up(Totally different from My sassy girl. Rather sad and ..; you'll know what I mean if you see)

Hey Try this one. Its a movie that's linked to My sassy girl. Remember about JunJuhyun saying that she broke up with her boy friend before? Its about how she broke up. Quite sad ㅠ_ㅠ T_T ; ;
But its funny when you think its liked. They say that the 3rd movie is coming up in 2007.

Scratch that- thought it was a series.

Watch My Sassy Girl since it's by the director of Windstruck and also has the same actress. My Sassy Girl is much better than Windstruck IMO.

One of my favorite movies, that isn't on the list is: A Moment to Remember. Another good one is Millionaire's First Love.

I won't select any of the list because I haven't give up watching korean dramas so who knows there would be more in the future better than these.......lol

1st time i watched my sassy girl i jz didn't get it..everything's in mess..but i kinda understand everything once it reached the end..=) unpredictable.
She's on Duty is also quite interesting. windstruck n Daisy too.
but too me korean dramas r far more better than their movies..
the endings r often sad too (i hate it!)
it seems not enough to put everything in just 2 hours.
