my first jdorama was Hana Yori Dango 1 .. in September\2006
while I downloaded the first episode by an accident ..
cuz i wanted to download the first episode of the Anime of HYD instead ..
i didn't know that there was a dorama for it
but when i played the video and found that it's a dorama .. i kept watching it till the end of the episode .. i liked it so much and wanted to download the 2nd epi ..
since then i've become a fan of this fantastic dorama ..
and it was the introduction of watching other Jdoramas ..
lolz .. that was my long story .. haha

it's still my favorite until nOw thOugh i watched lots of dramas already.
i'm still hOoked on HanaDan.
there was one from a LONG time ago, that I watched when I was in 6-8th grade (i've been out of college for 3 years now)...that was probably the very first dorama i watched, but i didn't start back up in it, til HYD. So while I'm tired of HYD, I'm thankful for it, because it brought me back to the genre and now I'm hooked. =)

My first watched j-dorama was OSHIN!! Hahaha... i bet i'm not the only one who watched this as the first japanese drama .
And then i started watching tokyo love story, ordinary people, under the same roof, and long vacation. That was my very first interest to Japanese Dorama
Currently i watched nodame cantabille (so funny!!) and next would be itsumo futari de (anyone could give me synopsis about this drama?)

SOS
My first Dorama was SOS. Still one of the best Dorama shows EVER!
I quickly followed it up with Long Vacation, Good Luck, Beautiful Life, Hero, GTO, Shota no Sushi, Food Fight, Shopping Hero, Salaryman Kintaro (1,2,3), Kasouken no Onna (Investigator Mariko) (All seasons). And here I am years later, still in LOVE with Dorama.
I play around a bit more now, downloading some Korean and Chinese shows. Most of which are pretty good.

A few firsts
It's a little complicated.
Somewhere around '98 I saw a couple of episodes of some dorama about a girl who works at an Anna Miller's and who falls in love with a guy whose family tries to keep them apart. At least I think that was the plot because no subtitles ... But, at the time I didn't know this was a 'dorama', any more than a non-subtitled episode of SHOMUNI a friend in Japan sent me.
Then, I followed a link to a site with a live action version of the anime ACE WO NARAE. I grabbed it and the YOU'RE UNDER ARREST 'doramas'.
The site had lots of other live action, subtitled Japanese shows. I tried a couple, but the first which I took the time to watch from beginning to end was LONG VACATION. I've since then accumulated almost a hundred series, from QUEEN'S CLASSROOM to the SHOMUNI trilogy of series, and from the poignant BEAUTIFUL LIFE to the hilarious - and long running - WOMEN OF THE ONSEN (IKOU E ONSEN).

Hahaha ......... I bet you're Indonesian! Coz I'm the same. Not into it all, tho.puti_chan wrote:My first watched j-dorama was OSHIN!! Hahaha... i bet i'm not the only one who watched this as the first japanese drama .

Yeah, first is Oshin. Then Tokyo Love Story and Under the same roof. I adore Under the Same Roof!!!!
For a long time I forgot the joy of asian drama. After Meteor Garden and some k-dramas, a friend of mine gave Nobuta Wo Produce. But it's after HYD I got the feeling of watching jdoramas again.
