Nahh, I think it's been said before, the amnesia arch from the manga was one of the least-liked by the fans, nobody could stand doumyoji forgetting makino (even if he did remember her later on), and since this season is based on what the fans wanted and new stuff from the writers (with the supervision of Kamio-sensei) in all probability it will not be used.

They did a contest I think and out of 2500 students 5 were chosen to be in the show and the lucky winner would be in a little role in HYD ^^ SUGOIII!!!!!

they did a hana yori dango special on the V6 show "lets go to school"
one lucky girl was chosen to audition to be an extra for hyd2
there are 4 finalists that are chosen by jun & the director i think
and then the 4 compete in front of F4 to get the role.
while they are competing one of the things is to act in front of everyone
everyone being staff, mao, F4...
the scene this one girl gets to act out is...
where jun randomly pulls her into him and hugs her tight...

The rain scene in the manga goes like this:
While makino is a maid in the doumyoji househlod, mommy dearest comes back from NY, finds her, insults her, and threatens her. Since makino doesn't want anything else horrible to happen to her loved ones, she decides to leave, and the only way she finds that will make tsukasa let her leave is telling him she doesn't love him. So when he gets home, late at night, it's pouring outside, he sees makino alone in the street and pulls over the car in which he was, she then process the heart-breaking monologue of how she doesn't love him anymore, and does an overwhelmingly good acting job. He, of course, is devastated.
As makino walks away, bags in hand, soaking wet, tama appers to tell her "don't be a fool, fight for your love" but makino is determined and goes away...

Yea, wen I read the manga, that scene wasnt so heartbreaking to me. But then when I saw Meteor Garden, I cried buckets even though I knew what was gonna happen. I think it was Barbie Hsu's good acting.

Given how well the show did the Sara-Soujiro arc, I'm 120% certain the rain scene is going to kill. That by itself is worth one box of kleenex and a few acting award nominations, neh? ;)
And I guess it means either Doumyoji finally chose his responsibilities over love, or that Makino pushed Doumyoji to make that decision. And given how late the scene is going to play, I mean, it's kinda "final", you know?
So I figure before the rain scene:
1) Rui gets shot down, but "happily" reapplies for "metrosexual Will&Grace" role with Makino
2) Doumyoji gives in to Shigeru
3) Yuki and Rui get together. Haha. Nah.
Maybe the finale will take place in the future. Like, M+D haven't seen each other in awhile, then they meet at Shizuka's wedding. Then stuff happens and they run off in a bus with the mum after them like a sqawking chicken. End scene.

Remember the scene when Makino and Doumyoji first meet in New York? Slow-mo shot, big swelling music, everybody kinda out of sequence between the two lovers.
See, that's how I kinda see the rain scene playing out. Makino trying but unable to scream his name as he disappears into the rain. Makino melting down completely. More slow-mo shots of rain. It will be incredibly, incredibly beautiful.
