* Bold names mean that there was a problem with your entry. Once you fix it, your list will be counted (just let me know when you do!). Current # of errors: 24

It is hard to make this list, since there are too many good J-drama. It was hard to make up my mind. But, For now it is:

1. Kekkon Dekinai Otoko
2. Boku Dake no Madonna
3. Nodame Cantabile

Not that it matters in this voting system, but I also love these drama: Long Vacation, Love Generation, Double Kitchen, Mukodono (2001, haven't seen 2003), Kazoku, Hito ni Yasashiku, My Boss My Hero, Orange Days, 1 Liter of Tears, Brother Beat, Boku no Aruku Michi, Ruri No Shima and Tokyo Tower 2007.

I'd really love to watch Dr. Koto (both seasons), Mukodono 2003, Wonderful Life, and At Home Dad. Maybe my votes will change after I watch those.

Yes...its so hard to decide on a top 3...there's so many good ones and I love so many...especially Takuya Kimura dramas, but I'll base this on my current favorites...

although I also think Karei Naru Ichizoku was really wonderful and deserved a ranking, but I guess these three just surpasses it for me, for now.

my current top three, in no particular order:

Suna no Utsuwa - exquisite music beautifully blended with a deep, dark story. Perfect tragedy

Yasashii no Jikan - gentle, sweet, slow and beautiful

Kekkon Dekinai Otoko - the writing and acting made a perfect comedy.

If only this poll was for top 11! I'd have to include Iryu Team Medical Dragon, Aoi Tori, Yoshitsune, Shinsengumi!, A Million Stars Fall from the Sky, Haikei Chichi-ue Sama, Mahiru no Tsuki, Love & Eros, and there are many more.

I've been sooo busy lately but I've finally gotten around to updating this thing again. New this week are brackets that show last week's rankings for point gainers. I've also cleaned up the Top 10 so it doesn't stretch your browser so much. It's nuts how #3 now has twice as many votes as #4. ^_^ And I think this the first time that there aren't any ties in the Top 15.

Y'know, I'm starting to think that I should've allowed seasons to be grouped together. I personally prefer to rank them separately, but now I know that most people don't. Oh well, it's too late to change the rule now so you guys are gonna have to choose one or the other. I personally recommend going with HYD2 since a vote for HYD1 right now is like throwing a grain of sand onto a beach. ;)

Thanks for doing these rankings! I have been using this since it first started because I am more familiar with the Korean dramas, but now I am in love with some of these Jdoramas. Right now my ultimate top 3 would be:

1. Lunch Queen
2. Yasha
3. Ikebukuro West Gate Park

(but honorable mentions would have to be Hana Yori Dango both 1&2, My Boss, My Hero, Nobuta wa Produce, and Tiger and Dragon...ha, I am a Nagase Tomoya fan)

What Odoru Daisousasen is down in the 40s??
But of course its not a scientific poll. Someone can create an account just to vote 2 maybe three times.
I think tends to be more biased towards series in the 2000's, but not limited to it. There are a lot of great series from the 90's and even 80's. Wish daddicts had more 80's dramas.

All that aside, my votes are:

Aw man, I took out the HYD 1 & 2 disclaimer from Page 1 recently because I thought everyone had gotten it by now. But there's now 4 more HYD 1 & 2 double rankings since my last update.

Haha, my thoughts exactly! It's a great show, but not a lot of people are watching it since it's pretty old. I'm hoping one day it'll be the Series of the Week so more people out there will discover its awesomeness. Anyway, thanks for supporting the show.
