I found her disappointing in Hotelier, but I recently watched Shimokita Sundays, and honestly, she was amazing. Triple-kudos to her.

Install Soundtrack
Hey,
Has anybody seen Install. I saw it and I swear, the soundtrack is one of the most amazing things off that movie. Great movie too. Very slow paced and one of those movies that make you think and feel listless at the same time. But seriously drugging theme music... which is great at times.
Anybody know where I can get the soundtrack? Cause I can't find it ANYWHERE.
Thanks

I have watched it also and I like the soundtrack very much. I searched for it, but I couldn't find it. But I have to mention that I don't really like this movie, because there is a point in the middle of the stroy when it becomes very boring.BLame8008 wrote:Hey,

True. But I get the feeling that the whole movie kind of follows the pace of the song. Everything's almost in slow motion, which can sometimes become boring.wuff wrote:

Hm... this thread needs more activity. ~__~
I was never able fo finish Hotelier.,.. the story never grabbed me, so I stopped at three. I also never finished either Ace wo Nerae or Attack no.1... probably because I watched one right after the other. Whichever was the one about Volleyball--that one I didn't watch 'till the end.
You know, I really only follow three Japanese actors/actresses... well, discluding the deceased. Nakama Yukie, Abe Hiroshi and Ueto Aya.
Nakama Yukie seems intent on proving that she has, in fact, ZERO acting ability, and that all three seasons of Trick and both movies were flukes.
Abe Hiroshi seems to have switched over to *shudder* drama. (BOOO!)
Is Aya in anything new this season (or really last season too) worth checking out? Did Abarenbo Mama turn out well, or should I not bother?

Not really a fan of her. Though, she's somewhat good with comedies. "Attention Please" seemed to be written for her (but it can't compete with "Good Luck!"). I'd also say she fits into Hokaben as a totally green rookie who has no idea about how things work in reality. Other than that... no, not really. Anything "heavy", no, she's not the one for it. Evil characters? Heck no, totally not convincing. Just take Azumi, ridiculous. Ueto is one of those actresses who can't even look evil, let alone play it (lining up there with FukaKyon, Nagasawa and Sawajiri). And if they try then the result is just amusing, at least for a while (her "evil" looks in Azumi made me laugh and wanted me to pat her on the head saying "It's ok"), after that while it turn into ridiculous. Comedies, that's her area, she should stay with it.

hey guys, GooD News for Aya Ueto's fans
This fall, Fuji TV is producing a drama series called "Celeb to Daihinmin," a romantic comedy starring Aya Ueto and Yusuke Kamiji. Ueto's role is said to be inspired by American celebrity Paris Hilton.
The story revolves around Alice Hirata (Ueto), the spoiled and naive daughter of a wealthy hotel magnate. On the other hand, Kamiji plays an impoverished widower raising three children. Between the two contrasting characters, romance is born.
In charge of the drama are producer Hiroyuki Goto and director Hidetomo Matsuda, who both worked on the popular "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" television series. Fuji TV will broadcast "Celeb to Daihinmin" at 9:00pm on Tuesdays, starting in October.

Actually .. Aya looks way better with Short Hair. She already stated she hates having long hair in one of her interviews. Sorry guys.. Short Hair Stays.
Short Hair? In Attack? I think her hair was pretty long in that drama.
Even in her Yume no Chikara PV it was long too.
Hmmm... Is my siggie too big? I never seen my siggie posted in here?

Short hair suit her well, like in Tsubasa.
Ano ne, did u guys view Celeb to Binbo Taro? I really like her in it.
I'm really happy seeing her again in comic drama. I dun like much the her in Hokaben, something boring ih it.
Aya, kawaii ne. SUKIIIIIII desu.

For you other Aya fans, there's an article about her that was posted last week in the Japan Times:
http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/ ... 113r1.html.
The only thing in the article I disagree with her on is when she says she's "not so good at singing".
Jim.

But, for me, she has a beautiful voice. And I love all of her songs.
She has a particular acting (could call that her register?? ). I like it also.
However, I like her as a singer more than an actress.
