i've thought that i better not discuss about this movie but it's hard to remain silent..

my fav drama is Kisarazu Cat's eye which I rate 5/5, regarding Nodama Cantabile I rate it 10/5 it really overcomes the chart :roll I don't know where to place it in my fav list so just let it outlaw :lol

i love Nodame, Chiaki, Milch Holstein  ,Mine, Masami, Sakura, Kiyora, Ookouchi, Mine's papa, Eto sensei, Sakuma and company.. the one that I don't like is Saiko

and the concerts are simply fabulous ! ( I just hate to talk about the drama since it's so good so I can hardly find the right words to express my thoughts)

how many times I've watched and rewatched the drama ? that only God knows

That's a good thing: it's opened you up to a new world of music. :thumleft:

I've liked classical for a long time, but Nodame has made me a real fan... Great stuff.

Yes! I'm a really big fan of classical music too. :)
I have never seen the anime or read the manga. But I had heard good stuff about this, so I decided to watch because it had Tamaki Hiroshi in it. lol And I love it!
I love all the special scenes where it shows the 'slow motion slap' etc... :lol
Anyway, I can't wait for the next episode!

Hi,
So I hear that there will be a special on Nodame in early 2008. I can't wait. :D Has anyone read the latest manga yet?

Is it true Chiaki is planning to move out of the apartment in Paris?

* :lol @ the Nodame outtake*

You can tell in that scene that Tamaki Hiroshi wanted to laugh. You can see a smile creeping across his face.

This is such a cool drama. I've only just started watching it. ( :thumleft: to SARS for hardsubbing it!) Nodame gets beat up so BAD! She got punched, thrown and beat down a heck of alot in episode 2. I couldn't stop laughing when Chiaki-san punched her and then when that Violin player dragged her down from the giant concrete ball. :lol

Cool series. I'm really into it, which is just what I need. A couple of the current dramas aren't doing it for me at the moment - such as First kiss and Love & Farm.

I would like to ask one question.

Where I can download RAW files of Nodame Cantabile?

I have problem with downloading from torrent.

Could you guys suggest Clubbox or other download links? I'll appreciate a lot.

Thanks a lot :)

I just finished watching this. I usually don't like the overly crazy dramas but for some reason this one is different. I really think is the music. Although none of the actors are professional musicians, they portray their love for music genuinely. For me, music is life and maybe perhaps that's the reason I love this drama. On on hand, it is about two geniuses who are afraid to take chances and on the other, it is about those who are not cut out for being professional musicians and their love to perform and dedication to music. The two leads growing together and serving as a motivation for each other was a beautiful story. However, I equally love the other characters portrayal of the different castes of musicians that exist in the music world. Overall, a great cast, beautiful music and some well-done slapstick comedy. :thumleft:

Nodame was so funny!!
I remember watching the first episode and i was laughing so hard.
The whole cast was great but i confess I got a soft spot for Mine
The smapxsmap episode with Hiroshi and Juri was so funny, she's a little Nodameish herself.

Yeah, the computer 'enhanced' parts are so funny in live action.
I remember watching the whole thing a while ago with subs. Any idea who subbed it before SARS?

I'm downloading both cos I love to see different versions. But that's just an excuse to watch this drama over and over again!

If you can do it, I would hope it would be for the Special Disc that's included in the Nodame box set. :)

I'm totally late ~ LOL I'm sure it's up already though. LOL

But I read in last month's TVJapan that there will be a Nodame Cantabile SP

There's no exact dates or anything.. It just says that it be released in the new spring season

It will air for two nights and takes place during and after them going overseas to study.

Last episode was just sooooo...........muah!
but it didn't have the closure it needed, like an epilogue. That's probably what the special is for.

AH nodame is really nice :D But Iam just curious! nodame and chiaki, can they really play this well in real life or are they using doubles? If they are using doubles I must say their acting skills are damn good cos it looks absolutely real to me :D

All of the casts has a little training prior to training but none of them know how to play the instrument as all, all acting. Nodame knows how to play piano in real life and Chiaki with guitar.

bmwracer wrote: Hi,

I bought my Nodame box set from Amazon Japan and it set me back $160USD (and that included shipping from Japan)... Pricey, yes, but I'm ga-ga about Nodame... :)

Like all officially released dramas from Japan, it has NO English subtitles, but I've watched the drama so many times, I pretty much have the dialog memorized anyways... :P

I don't usually like to promote knockoffs/bootlegs, but if you're looking for a lower cost alternative, I have seen a similar set available on eBay with Chinese subs... But it doesn't have English subs, either.
Hi again!

Thanks for that bit of information. I'm going to start saving some money to buy the official one from Japan too! Bootleg/knockoffs usually don't cut it for me (unless the official one hasn't come out yet and I'm desperate to watch it) =P
Here's a pic:

Image

The box set consists of:
1. Six DVDs (two episodes per disc) in a digipak
2. Special DVD disc with interviews, making of clips, and outtakes
3. Keyboard book with episode info and pics
4. Special gift box with Nodame cellphone charms and music/keyboard towel
5. Piano-shaped box with snap closure

I've read that this box set is in limited release and only so many are available... Not sure if this is true or not....

guys...do you think they still have this?

Nodame~~! Don't think I posted here before, but I love this serie. Super very much extremely much! I now wanna learn how to play Rhapsody in Blue and Petrouschka. I wanna go and rewatch it all again sometime (already watched the first again), since it was just soo enjoyable. Great actors too! I love Chiaki and Nodame.. Nodame's so weird and hipsie and Chiaki is so cool yet really loveable. I also saw another movie with Tamaki Hiroshi lately, Tada, kimi wo aishiteru, he's very good there too. I cannot wait till 2008... hope they sub it soon after it gets out ^^! The only thing that let me down a little was how short it was and how much more they could show about all the weird and funny characters ^^! Nodameee~~ show me how to play petrouschkaaa~~

Gyahaa!!It's here!!We finally,FINALLY have something for it ~ it's Nodame and Chiaki à beau Paris!!*spazzing*This would be the first look we're having(well, mine at least) at the Nodame Cantabile SP so far, therefore forgive me if I can't contain my excitement!Kya~~

I made some caps from the clip off Mezamashi TV,seeing as the original video on YouTube by KJRGU (thank you so much!) is not available for embedding.Seems like not much has changed;Nodame is still being Nodame and Chiaki still pretends like he's annoyed by her antics..lol.
