Title: スワンの馬鹿!
Title (romaji): Swan no Baka!
Tagline: こづかい3万円の恋
Format: Renzoku
Genre: Comedy
Broadcast network: Fuji TV, KTV
Broadcast period: 2007-Oct-16 to 2007-Dec

Kamikawa takes the lead as Suwano Daisuke, a 40-year-old salaryman married to former co-worker Masumi (Tanaka Misako). Because his daughter is taking entrance exams, Daisuke is forced to live on only 30,000 yen a month. Narimiya Hiroki plays Kawase, an IT company manager who works in the same building as Suwano's office, while Gekidan Hitori plays a deputy manager of the building's cafe.
Cast:
Kamikawa Takaya as Suwano Daisuke
Narimiya Hiroki as Kawase Mitsuru
Gekidan Hitori as Kamo Kenji
Kajihara Zen as Tokita Hideki
Ashina Sei as Kazuki Ayana
Maeda Atsuko as Kuroda Hinako
Miyama Karen as Suwano Rie
Moriguchi Yoko as Kuroda Shimako
Tanaka Misako as Suwano Masumi
This is the drama I've been looking forward to the most, despite Galileo (places in 2nd place in look-forward-ness!) and Yukan Club... I love the cast members: Misako Tanaka, Hiroki Narimiya, Kamikawa Takaya etc. The first episode got beaten down by Yukan Club with only 10.5%, but I think ratings will improve if it turns out to be really funny or something. =P What do you guys think?

Kai200X is subbing it.
This is my drama for this season.
Suwano-san is adorable! It's strange to call a grown man adorable, but he is... except for the whole he might cheat on his wife thing.
I don't think he's likely to, but there's a chance ..he seems to be quite attracted to her.
I think Baka has me at the very beginning.. most likely the opening scene.

Only 6 episodes so far but this drama is certainly one of my favorite this season.
The whole role model family man's struggles with social temptations and obligations has been very entertaining to watch.
(Might be a personal taste though. )
I like the relation between Suwano and the people in his life; how (differently) he deals with each one of them and how they come together in troublesome situations.
Hilarious at times.
Overall, a good drama, good chemistry between the casts and easy to watch.
I'll be watching this one till the end, with or without subs.

don't lose hope just yet.Yukimi87 wrote:It really does seem like no one is going to sub this
I don't know the status of sgtkiraproductions, but about a month ago, Ao no Michi/livejournal found a translator for this drama...
and if they are not going to sub it, then I'm sure there's another translator thinking about subbing it.

.
What's more, I'd like to find japanese subs for this, 'cause it's so hard to understand what they're blabbing about so fast :/ If someone would be willing to help find them, I'd be very grateful and finish my job a lot faster.
As for Ao no Michi, I think they've released 2 episodes so far.
Hey there xD I'm the translator you mentioned :DDD I'm done with 5 eps, but they don't seem to time it so fast O:I don't know the status of sgtkiraproductions, but about a month ago, Ao no Michi/livejournal found a translator for this drama...
