Sounds like a serious drama, and contrary to popular belief, that's where Lee Da Hae truly shines. I really enjoyed her performance in Green Rose, so let's hope this one is just as good, or even better.

Thanks for the link! I'm looking forward to watching Robbers. I've missed Lee Da Hae and avoided watching Hello! Miss because of all the bad reviews it got, so hopefully this one will be fun.

I love Lee Da Hae drama! Even Hello! Miss, it was funny to watch. But this one, Robber, seems to show us a reall serious LDH! Interesting to discover another style.

It was horrible. I tried watching it, and it wasn't funny, but stupid. Sorry, for viewers who like that show, but it's my honest opinion.

LDH is my fav. Korean actress, yet that show was just ... -.- a waste of time.

It's likely Robber and Hong Gil Dong will be duking it out for 2nd place, since both have casts that appeal to the same demographic. I want to say that HGD looks like a KBS hit, but KBS hasn't had a bona fide one really since Dal Ja Spring. That's almost a whole year people!

The show itself should be pretty good. The writer also worked on Dr. Khang and Piano, and the PD worked on Bad Housewife.

Grr....I was hoping it was gonna be a serious one. Hasn't LDH learnt from the Hello Miss! debacle? She has shown so much talent and promise back in Green Rose yet chooses comedic roles over melodrama which suits her more.

Ratings for Robber now less than 8% (Hello Miss! also went below 10% towards the end). I hope LDh doesn't fade away into obscurity after this - she's far better, and deserves much more.

It might sound weird but the plot is sooo much like the Korean movie "Love Me Not". If they're gonna make the ending the same, I'll really be disappointed.

And top of that there is a scene in the second episode that is sooo much MiSA like... :P I hope that is only a parodical reference, or else it will be copycat.

I'm pretty sure it's just a parodical reference since he does say "you want to see the 'I'm sorry I love you' version or the 'Memories of murder' version?" in that scene.

The MISA reference was pretty funny but well soon those parts will be over when this turns into a hardcore nosebleed :roll (first time in years I am seeing that again in a Kdrama) melodram.

I watched Ep1 & 2 I have to admit that both lee da hee and jang huyk did a good job, LDH acting was really nice & she is really doing her best in this drama as a mother >> the little girl is so cute & talented too :lol .. I think her husband is from the drama Happy woman if I'm not wrong he is a new actor, even her mother in law I love her in ever drama she appeared.. :-) I'm waiting Ep 3 & 4 Hopefully it'll come soon cuz it seem JH will not leave her alone after he found about the 30000 $

Ental is using Xvid codec for video, MP3 for sound and Shinhwa the X264 for video, AC3 (5+1 channels) for sound. So Shinhwa has a much better quality, especially in video. Unless you have a very old and slow machine or you gonna watch it on a DivxPlayer, there is no reason to choose Ental.

I'm on episode 11. I guess you are watching with subs.

Everyone should learn Korean if you think you are going to watch K-drama for a very long time. It would be so much easier i tell ya.

AFAIK, Korean is one of the toughest languages to learn - according to linguist consensus - I think i read it in an Oxford study.

As for this drama, I like the dialogue and the direction of the story, but if you've watched ep 11 I think you'll agree that we all know where this is going and how its going to end. Perhaps MBC will surprise us, but chances are:
The main character will get hit on the head by the goons of the old man, his blood vessel will pop, and he will die. If he's lucky Dar Lae will be carrying his child by than. Sorta grim but there it is :P

Just watch Chatter with Beauty. These girls learned Korean within months.

While waiting for Hong Gil Dong[ subs to come out, I decided to check out this series and WOW. I can't believe this show has such bad ratings. I've only watched two episodes and I've already seen spectacular acting by both leads. This series is weird in that I have no idea whether to categorize it as a comedy or melodrama. It's hilarious (and as much as I love the Hong Sisters, I prefer this kind of humor to HGD's slapstick) but it also looks like future episodes are going to be really emotional. Lee Da Hae's portrayal of Jin Dal Rae is a drastic change from her Ju Yoo Rin days and I love it. She was excellent in her episode 2 crying scene. I'm glad she's getting her chance to shine after Hello Miss' flop. Well, maybe not since nobody seems to be watching this series.

Anyways, I'm definitely gonna continue watching and I hope more people check out this drama! It's really some good stuff.

Yea forget the rating crap. Just watch the drama. It'll get even better and better... I'm at EP 13 now and this has been the nuclear bomb..... I give 5.5 stars for this drama. Yes, this beats the crap out of the drama Bad Love.... though I do like Bad Love but Robbers is way beyond better.

I'm sorry but, I couldn't stand watching Hong Gil Dong. It was so boring and stupid I crapped out after watching EP 4..... couldn't continue watching it. LOL Ya wanna get serious with the Epic dramas go check out Yi San, King & I, Dae Jo Young, and DaeWangSeJong. Now those are some serious quality stuff.:salut:

Fans of dramabeans may want to check out this blog: http://uhmbrr.livejournal.com
She doesn't really summarize each episode, but I enjoy reading her thoughts on the main characters.

I'm still loving this drama. In some ways, I would say it's even better than Hong Gil Dong. I think playing the role of Jin Dal Rae may be Lee Da Hae at her best. Jang Hyuk also manages to impress me in each episode.

My two favorite songs are Light Signal (Bay) and Geu Dae Ra Suh (Shin Na Ra). This drama has a very subtle, but beautiful OST.

Aww geez, just when I thought Robbers was a drama free of cliche plot devices, the story turned classic melodrama on us. I swear, I was completely in love with this show until that happened. I'm crossing my fingers for the last five episodes to do something different with the big twist this time.

Have you tried Evasive Inquiry Agency/Mixed-up Investigative Agency? Mind you, it's VERY different from Alone in Love, but it's by the same writer and brilliant in its own way. Easily the best non-historical drama of 2007 for me.

Anyway, about Robbers.

Finally gave it a try after sitting on the sidelines and not watching anything besides older drama, and have to say I really like it. Lee Da Hae and Jang Hyuk are both brilliant, and I love the spunky mother-in-law!

Actually it was revealed in an earlier episode where his brother beat him up after finding it out. It was not directly mentioned but quite openly implied with the way he reacts to Oh Joon and Dal Rae. :P

i'm debating on this drama is i should watch it.... i love Lee Da Hae and Jang Hyuk, but i'm hearing so many bad comments about this series... is it worth watching??? how terribly sad is the ending? is it a very cliche ending?
