
Utkarsh Sharma is an Indian actor who gained recognition for his role as Charanjeet Singh “Jeete” in the film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ (2001).
The film, directed by his father, Anil Sharma, starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as a Sikh-Muslim couple who fell in love during the Partition of India in 1947.

In Gadar 2, Utkarsh Sharma plays the role of Tara Singh’s son, Charan Jeet Singh, aka Jeete. Reprising the role of Jeete in Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Utkarsh has now grown into a fine young man with a daredevil attitude similar to that of his father.
In the movie, when Jeete finds out that his mother is in distress as there is no news of his father, he sets out to look for him. It leads him across the national border between India and Pakistan as he tries to find his whereabouts.
His venture takes him to Gulkhan, a close aide of Tara Singh, who helps him get work in Kurban Khan’s hotel. The hotel serves as the food supplier to the prison where Tara Singh is supposedly held.
During this time, Jeete also comes in close proximity to Muskaan, Kurban’s daughter, and the two quickly take a liking to each other.
However, he is in for a surprise when he finally manages to enter the prison and finds out that Tara was never there at all. In the process, he is the one who gets captured, though, and has to await his eventual release.
Utkarsh plays a pivotal role during much of the mid-runtime of the movie and is instrumental in driving the plot of the story. One may even argue that he is the main contributing factor behind the story, as Tara has no reason to venture into Pakistan again other than to bring back his son.
