The task manager

The first place to visit when your PC becomes sluggish when playing your favorite casino games is the task manager. This app will give you an overview of how your processor is operating and how much memory or network data programs and apps are taking. You can access the Task Manager by right-clicking the Taskbar. You can click on the More Details option at the bottom left corner for an overview of what Apps and Background Processes are doing. You can close the apps by do not need by clicking on them and then End Task. If you are not sure whether you need a process, you can Google to see its function.

Schedule Antivirus Scans

If your PC starts slowing down suddenly, one of the main culprits maybe your Antivirus software scanning your PC for viruses or malware. While it is a safety measure, it can be disrupting especially when you busy playing your favorite game, and the PC suddenly starts slowing. A remedy would be to schedule when your Antivirus software scans the PC, such as during lunch hours or overnight when you are not busy.

Startup apps

Another culprit that can cause your PC to slow down is having too many Startup apps. You can view a list of apps and services that start when you boot up your PC at the Task Manager in the Startup tab. You may want to go through the list, click the apps you do not need, and click on the Disable option. It is advisable to close an app once you are done with it and also ensure it is not running in the background by turning it off at the Task Manager.

An overcrowded browser

It is tempting having many windows and tabs open. However, each of these tabs and windows eats on your memory and processing power. This will result in sluggish performance, especially when playing memory-intensive online games. You can view how tabs and windows are affecting your PC at the Task Manager by clicking the browser you are using. You may also want to consider trying out different browsers that have good reviews regarding performance.

Check your storage

When your SSD or hard drive is running out of space, it could bog down your computer’s performance. You may want to remove apps and programs you do not use often. You may also want to invest in new or additional storage to enhance your online gaming experience.
