Let’s face it; parties are often full of excitement and fun. You may do many things at a party ranging from dancing to partying with your friends. But what happens when you don’t feel like doing any of those activities? There is always one activity that everyone does at every party- playing games.

At first thought, you might be thinking of doing it traditionally by playing board or card games. Now, what if we told you that you could play other games at a party?

Well, it is possible, and there are a variety of games to choose from. These games range from multiplayer casual party games to intense competitive sports titles. There are many choices for everyone to choose from.

The following are the best three games to play at a party with your friends:

Quiplash XL

Quiplash is a crowd favorite on many different gaming sites because it’s so simple yet so addictive like any other video game. The object of this game is that everyone, including the host, submits two answers to one prompt. For example, “Something I ate that was the color blue” would get answers like “An M&M.” and “Kool-Aid.”

You will finally enter them into the game where everybody in the room anonymously votes on them. If your answer is chosen as best, you win points for your team (or at least 2nd place if you happen to lose). The game continues until someone reaches 10 points.

This mode of play can lead to some funny moments. Where something ridiculous gets all of its votes stolen away by more realistic responses (ex: “Vomit,” while not precisely funny on its own merits, definitely go tier when it beats out entries like “A Pollock painting”).

Quiplash XL is not very expensive, and it’s one of the funniest games out there. There are just some things you’re going to have at a party, including liquor and debauchery, so why leave this game out?

Never Have I Ever: The Game of Poor Life Decisions

Never Have I Ever is a two-parter. First, somebody will choose something they have never done before (ex: “Never have I ever had more than 100 friends on Facebook.”). Then everybody else will put up three fingers and say, “never have I ever,” while holding up however many fingers their answer requires.

(Eg: if somebody says they’ve never been to Africa, everyone else puts up three fingers).

If any player has done that action before, they put down a finger. The game continues until all players are out of fingers or somebody loses by putting their last finger down.

This game is great because it creates stories about your friends’ lives and can lead to some embarrassing confessions (even though they confess nothing).

Never Have I Ever: The Game of Poor Life Decisions takes the already addicting formula from Never Have I Ever and adds new cards with actions people have never done before.

It’s fun, but be aware that you’re going to learn some things about your friends that may not be for children’s eyes. You can either enjoy this game indoors and can also play it together with other yard games.

Cards Against Humanity

Cards Against Humanity is a game about giving and receiving hilariously awful gifts. It starts with each player drawing ten white cards. They will then use these cards in their hand to create a statement or question that they think is best paired with the black card, which gives them the prompt (ex: “A romantic candlelight dinner.” + “Why am I sticky?”).

The judge of the round will choose their favorite answer based on how funny it was. Players are scored by how close they came to guessing what the judge found funniest, so if you play this game right, you can win despite writing nothing funny.

Cards Against Humanity has caused many problems because people either love it or hate it, but there’s no denying that it’s a riot live and in the moment. Even if you don’t play it with friends, everybody needs to experience this game at least once.

Stop worrying about how long people will stay or if they’ll want something else because these ideas are awesome. The best part is all these great games is that it doesn’t cost any money at all. Just grab some friends, grab supplies from around the

Remember to play responsibly and drink plenty of water during the party and afterward so that everyone can stay safe throughout the night. You never know who might show up at your next gathering.
