Okay, so don’t panic… yet. So you went to see your favorite drama on stream in “DramaFever” the platform that has been providing for good dramas and Asian entertainment and programming for nine years faithfully and without stop. Well, “DramaFever” will be shutting down immediately according to parent company Warner Brothers.

“Today, Warner Bros. Digital Networks will be closing its DramaFever OTT service due to business reasons and in light of the rapidly changing marketplace for K-drama content, a staple of the service’s programming,” the company said in an emailed statement after days of silence on DramaFever’s social media platforms. “Warner Bros. Digital Labs, which encompasses more than two-thirds of the DramaFever workforce, will continue operating, serving as the tech engine behind many of WBDN’s operations.”

Therefore this is a company business thing. However, that’s not your fault! you want to see your dramas right? Don’t freak out; we got you covered. Here is a list of sites where you can see your favorite Asian dramas and shows online, with English  subtitles:

If you don’t like ads, Kocowa offers $6.99/month membership with no ads, no commitment/contract, and it renews automatically at the end of every month. Kocowa also offers “Annual Membership” with a steep discount. You will only pay $69.99/year, and that means you’re getting two months free! They may not have the best selection of Asian dramas but it is still nice to have a few options. The three have drama like “Boys Over Flowers,” “Mr. Sunshine.” Black,” “Legend of the Blue Sea,” “Descendants of the Sun,” and few more. Currently, Amazon Prime Video is not streaming or selling any of the dramas because it had an exclusive deal with DramaFever and since the closure of DramaFever, Amazon has not gotten any new deal or agreement.

However, Netflix still offers some interesting Korean shows and movies. However, you might find some of these unavailable in your region. You will have to use a Netflix VPN, as described in this article, and connect to a Korean server first before gaining access to your favorite Korean drama and movies.

While this decision is difficult, there are a variety of business reasons that have led to this conclusion. We appreciate each and every one of our fans and their passion for the content DramaFever was able to bring into your lives.
