With the culmination of “100 Days My Prince” the multifaceted Do Kyungsoo will have a free agenda for more opportunities in the small …or big screen, soon will be released his next film “Swing Kids” a historical, dramatical and dare I say musical film. It tells the story of Ro Gi Soo (Do Kyungsoo) a rebellious North Korean soldier who falls in love with tap dancing after meeting Jackson (Jared Grimes), a Broadway officer. Ro Gi Soo then joins the dance group produced by Jackson composed of Kang Byung Sam (Oh Jung Se) who dances in the hope of finding his wife, Xiao Fang (Kim Min Ho) a Chinese soldier with a natural talent for dancing but who cannot dance for more than a minute due to a coronary artery disease and Yang Pan Rae (Park Hye Soo) who earns money through dancing. The story is set during the Korean War in 1951, the filming began on October 18, 2017, and ended on February 20, 2018, the film will premiere in December of this year.

The name of the film sounded familiar so I dig in, and it turns out that in 1993 a Hollywodense film was released with the same title but set in Nazi Germany. Of course, I don’t expect the story to be the same but it will surely have many similarities, even so, I hope its premiere and much success to the actors and the production team!
